Registration Details:
Registration for the Post-UTME shall be done online. So, you don't need to come down to the school in order to register. Even if you are in Accra, Ghana, so long you are connected to the web, you can register for the exam.
To register for the exam, do the following:
1. Visit the 2018/2019 online registration portal (click here)
2. On the page that opens (it should look like the picture below), enter your JAMB Registration Number.
3. From the page that opens, click on Generate Invoice. Print the invoice and walk into any commercial bank to make payment or you could pay using your ATM online without going to the Bank.
Please note, the payment is through the Remita platform, so be sure the bank accepts payment through Remita and present the slip to the Bank Teller as there is a number on the slip which is unique to each candidate. It is that number that the Bank will use to activate your payment.
4. When you are done making the payment, ensure to get a receipt from the bank confirming your payment.
Before you proceed to continue the Registration, ensure to have the following documents scanned and saved in your computer for uploading to the portal:
- Your Birth Certificate
- Local Government Identification (this document is gotten from your Local Government of Orgin. You could ask your parent/Guardian for guidance on getting this. Some Local Governments issue it for free while many others charge for this)
- Your Testimonial (This should be your secondary school leaving Testimonial.)
- Your First School Leaving certificate
- Your Jamb Result Slip (This is different from the original JAMB Result which you pay money to obtain and it does not necessarily need to be coloured. You can get this free from JAMB website by clicking on this link http://www.jamb.org.ng/ExamSlipPrinting2/PrintExaminationSlip)
- Your O'level certificate (could be WAEC or NECO. If you are combining results, please scan the two)
For each of the above documents, ensure you name them according to what they represent with your name beginning each. For instance, assuming my name is Adaobi Clement and I want to name my Birth Certificate, I will do it this way:
Adaobi_Clement_Birth_certificate
📀🔘🔘🔘🔘(Remember, we are in an age that virtually all functions can now be carried out with the help of a Smartphone. So, if you know that scanning all the documents with a ready scanner will be costly, you could make use of a smartphone with a quality camera and ensure to capture the required details while cropping off the insignificant details.)
5. Still with the receipt and the payment slip you printed earlier and having made ready the documents you need to upload online, return to the online registration portal where you generated the invoice from >>>>https://unnportal.unn.edu.ng/ScrenningApplication.aspx#.
6. Re-enter your JAMB Registration number. By this time, the page should display a form for you to fill out your personal details. a
7. Go through each one and fill out every one of them as required, making sure to provide the right information. Please, be sure that the details are the same as the details you provided during JAMB registration.
8. Complete your O'level subjects and Grades, also provide centre and exam number. However, if you are yet to see your result, please indicate 'Awaiting', that is, 'Ar'.
9. When you are done, click next and review all your entries to be sure they are correct.
10. When you are satisfied with your entries that they are correct, click submit and print the acknowledgement slip.
11. You will be required to present the Acknowledgement slip on the day of your examination before you are allowed to sit for it. So, ensure you keep it ready.
