INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR ADVERTISED COURSES
- Visit the University of Nigeria portal here http://unnportal.unn.edu.ng/AdmissionShopping.aspx, log in your JAMB Registration number to generate and download a Payment Invoice which contains a Remitta number, the invoice will enable you to make payment at any Commercial Bank.
- With the Payment Invoice, the candidate is requested to pay Ten Thousand Naira Only (N10, 000.00) Adverts/Shopping fee. Ensure that the Invoice number is keyed in appropriately at the Bank and obtain a confirmation slip containing your Confirmation number and Invoice number.
- Visit the University of Nigeria portal again and login your JAMB Registration Number, the Confirmation Number and Invoice Number, then print the Advert/Shopping Slip and complete the Advert/Shopping form on-line.

UNN Portal to be opened for Hostel Accommodation
Information reaching us from the University of Nigeria's ICT Department is that the Portal will be opened for students to apply for hostel accommodation from 1st of November, 2017.
According to the information obtained, the portal shall be opened to New students of both Nsukka and Enugu campuses from 10am, Wednesday, 1st November, 2017 while the Portal shall be opened for Returning students from 10am, Thursday 2nd November, 2017.
It is not yet clear whether a deadline has been fixed for this application or whether it continues indefinitely. Again, it is not yet clear whether students are to pay school fees first before applying as at the time of writing this, the information on school fees for the session was yet to be made public.
UNN Accommodation Notice to both New and Returning Students
The University of Nigeria has made public information regarding the allocation of bed spaces to both her new students and Returning students for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.
This information which was made available on the school's website is as follows:
1. The University has limited spaces for student accommodation.
2. The accommodation is allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
3. First Year and final year students are given high priority during allocation.
4. First years are allocated 40% of the total accommodation, final years 30% while others and
special needs are allocated 30%.
5. All Nursing Mothers must apply for accommodation online and must notify the authorities early.
(You are permitted to stay alone in a room or be two persons in a room).
6. The following are highly prohibited and will attract eviction from the hostel:
• Squatting of any kind.
• Late return to the hostel at night.
• Smoking.
• Drinking of Alcohol.
• Stealing.
• Fighting and quarrelling.
• Use of hotplates, electric boiling ring, refrigerator, gas cooker and so on.
• Use of generator sets.
• Defecating and bathing at undesignated places.
• Pouring of water in undesignated places.
• Defacing of Hostel walls by posting of bills, posters and any document.
7. Only students who have specifically met the following will be qualified for hostel
accommodation:
• Paid all school fees till date.
• Registered all courses online till date.
• Possess the University ID card or have been successfully captured.
• Possess and use the University student email address.
8. All hostel accommodation invoices are valid for only three days after generation. (Any student
who fails to pay online within the three day period will forfeit the allocation).
9. All Rev Sisters are to follow the authorised process for accommodation.
10. Physically challenged students must also generate invoice and proceed to make payments.

1. Log in to the UNN Portal- www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng
2. Enter your username and password (Your username is your Registration Number for old
students and JAMB registration number for new students).
3. Click on Hostel Allocation.
4. Click on Apply for Bed space (Select Hostel and Room No)
5. Click on Apply.
6. Print the Invoice carrying your RRR number and proceed to the bank or make payment using
your ATM Card
7. Return to the portal and Click on Hostel Allocation.
8. Click on pay for your hostel and enter your Remita Retrieval Reference number.
9. Submit and print Receipt.

UNN SCREENING ANNOUNCEMENT AND DETAILS FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES
The University of Nigeria hereby invites candidates for direct entry into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka who registered with Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for screening exercise.
Online Registration:
A. Eligible candidates are required to pay a processing fee of N2,000.00 (Two thousand Naira only) through Remita Platform at any Commercial Bank.
B. The online registration commences on Thursday, October 19, 2017 and ends on Monday, October 23, 2017 while the examination screening exercise will hold on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
C. Process Flow for Post-UTME Registration
1. Visit the University of Nigeria portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng), log in your JAMB Registration number to generate and download a Payment Invoice which contains a Remita number, the invoice will enable you to make payment at any Commercial Bank.
2. With the Payment Invoice, the candidate is requested to pay Two thousand Naira only (N2,000.00) application fee. Ensure that the Invoice number is keyed in appropriately at the Bank and obtain a confirmation slip containing your Confirmation number and Invoice Number.
3. Visit the University of Nigeria website portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng) again and login your JAMB Registration Number, the Confirmation Number and Invoice Number, then access and complete the University of Nigeria 2017/2018 Direct Entry form online at the portal.
4. Candidates must possess the University Minimum/Departmental Entry Requirement for the courses applied for.
5. No GSM handset, calculator or any other extraneous materials should be brought into the Screening Hall.
6. JUPEB and Visually Impaired Candidates are not invited to the screening exercise, but they should register online.
