Security is everybody's Business
via http://ecorner.stanford.edu/articles/4217/Its-Everybodys-Business-Now |
Until you find yourself in a situation you may never know that security is everybody's business.
The need for everyone to take security seriously within the University community can never be overemphasised. The role which society play is one that is paramount to the peace and continued existence of every society, in this case, the University Community.
We have had cases where students were robbed and due to the fact that the information on how to go about making reports or calling in for help during distress moments were unknown to them, they went on suffering in silence.
It is also rather absurd and weird that most students, including staff, of the University Community do not know there the University has a functional security outfit. It is for this group of persons and to an extent every other person within the community that we have gone the extra miles to get the following information which we believe is a must-know for everyone within the University community because security is everybody's business.
Nomenclature: University of Nigeria Security Department,
Location: Adjacent Main gate, UNN.
